Behold

Been to the mountains of Everest,

and grasses evergreen..

My mother’s wrinkled hands,

the prettiest sight

I’ve ever seen..

Paint..

The color of your soul, is precisely what my darkness seeks..

The compelling strokes of your brush, creating wild ocean peaks..

These cravings that evoke me, more than I’d like to confess..

The touch of your fingertips, for my body is your canvas..

Surrender

She looks like a star from a distance, you’d wish to stare at for a while..

Making the darkest nights glow with a simple touch, a single smile..

But when you get closer only to find, that she is no star but a lost meteorite..

Struggling to survive on a lonely planet, now that it’s home is destroyed..

She weaves a perfect web around herself, enslaving her soul inside..

I keep searching for a loophole to free her and escape to the mountains wide..

Neither her love, nor her beauty, there’s nothing that I ask for..

Just an urge to heal a wound, on an angelic soul so kind and pure..

So why don’t you take my hand, and let me ease your pain..

When you’ve got nothing to lose, and I have nothing to gain..

Triangles

He loved triangles, so he decided to gift me one..

Ever since I’m enclosed in it, always on a run..

On one end there’s love, and birds and a pair of rings..

On other end there’s hate, and a pair of broken wings..

I stand on the third end, while it tears my soul apart..

You stand on each end, staring at my broken heart..

Volatile

I run through the cold nights, barefeet..

Cheeks kissed by ice demons..

Searching every park and lake..

I see you in everything, for a moment..

Then you disappear, with the fog I exhale..

Knitted

Blood turned white,

Love dark and impure..

Knitted in my soul

Are scars I can’t endure..

Mother of a son!

Two young brothers lived in a town,

Their dad was their king who didn’t need a crown..

They fell in love and married two beautiful women,

Who gave birth to babies in cradles that were golden..

The baby boy was an anthlete and amazing footballer,

The baby girl was a beautiful and clever all-rounder.

Grandpa brought presents every time for the boy,

The girl stood in a corner watching him scream with joy..

So the daughter-in-law pleaded with tears in her eyes,

“My girl awaits your love, hoping each time it’ll be a surprise..”

The uncrowned king growled, as his face grew red.

The other daughter in law smirked with pride and said,

“You dare say such things when you brought us only shame,

I’m the mother of a son, who will empower our name!”

Years went by and the athlete won medals.

The daughter became a nurse and fought death battles..

Mothers grew feeble and couldn’t speak loud.

The son was now famous and got lost in the crowd..

His mother was sent to a home for the old and sick.

She waited for him through years, holding on to a stick..

The nurse came to the home and cared for the old,

Her aunt watched in silence, the girl with a heart of gold..

The girl met her aunt and asked why she was there?

She told a painful story, no parent wanted to hear..

“I am the mother of a son and thought he’s all that’s necessary,

I forgot I was a daughter too, and so were Aisha (R.A.) and Mary..”
