Little girl.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl…

Who watched the birds fly as their wings curl..

She had to see the world and knew she could try,,

So she sewed a pair of wings and painted it sky…

Once upon a time the kings raged a war,

They snatched away her wings and trapped them in a jar..

They took away the needles and colours of sky,

And shot arrows with the note “Do not dare to fly!”

Once upon a time the arrows broke down,

Music and love surrounded the town..

The little girl learnt to dance and heal sick birds,

And collected their feathers to write afterwards…

Once upon a time the girl found some yarn,

She spun it with the feathers and people begun to warn..

Running through the fields, crying with joy,

She spread her wings and learnt to fly….

Forgiveness..

Placing his crown on the side table,

Listening to the Prince’s fable,

Kissed goodnight to the princess’s forehead,

Watching them sleep on the silk bed,

He looked around the room glistening with gold,

“Why do I feel feeble and old?

When I’m still young with valour and vision,

Why does my heart feel wounded with a lesion,

When I have all the treasures to give,

And I live a life people dream to live?”

Listening to the King’s silent pain,

A voice whispered through the rain,

“A smile is all you need to give,

To live with peace you must learn to Forgive”…

Poets

I pour my pain to ink,

Delinquently it flows on the paper..

They read and say, “Beautiful!”

Ironic…

Run!

“In my dreams; I run, I run far away… From all those thoughts, that leave me astray..

From all those I love, for whom I cry and pray…

In my dreams; I stop, I stop and reflect back… At all the broken pieces piercing through a sack..

At all the fallen leaves that wince and crack…

In my dreams; I run, I run to a mountain.. Nevertheless in vain..

There’s no running away, for it resides inside me,,

I tear apart my chest, and find a spark and pain…”

Wings.

2d7da6eb96ce0ee85bb10d3eda2901faI’ve always wished to have wings.. To be able to fly on my own and run my fingers through clouds… I guess we all do.. Right? But what for? What excited Da Vinci’s imagination about the possibility of soaring through the skies that he presented “The flying Machine” to us..? Why did the Wright brothers were so fascinated with the gliders that they changed the course of human civilisation by giving virtual wings for generations to fly.. Was it just a means to travel distances in a shorter period of time or an endless desire to connect.. to connect where we all came from…

Yes, we all came from the same place… Remember? How Adam had to leave his true home.. “The Heavens” in order to make this world a beautiful place.. A new  home, a family… But did he forget about the place he belonged to? No..! Afterall, we are all his family too.. Why wouldn’t we wish to fly back…

UNVEILING THE WISDOM BEHIND TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE:-

nkl      When Desiderius Erasmus quoted “Prevention is better than cure”, seems as though he summarised the fundamental principle behind Traditional Chinese Medicine. TCM aims at treating the root cause of a disease laying stress on using natural medicines and therapeutics.

It is not only the use of Chinese herbal medicines, but it encompasses various other branches, including Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Tui na and practising Tai chi & Qi gong.

Background:

It is believed that the origin of TCM goes back more than 2000-5000 years ago. The first written documentation on traditional Chinese medicine is the Hung-Di Nei-Jing or Yellow Emperor’s Cannon of Internal Medicine. Bian stone needles with sharp ends were most commonly used for bloodletting and pus removal. Whereas, Lancet shaped Bian stones were used to create incisions. And lastly, the club or round shaped bian stones are used for massage and heat application.

During the Zhou dynasty, the yin-yang theory, the five elements, and the meridians of acupuncture were discovered. The stone needles became obsolete and metal needles were commenced.

Interestingly, it was the Han dynasty when TCM blossomed at a very fast pace. This was the era of Confucius and invention of anaesthesia by Mafei San.

ACUPUNCTURE:

Nowadays Acupuncture is not only practised in China but is renowned worldwide for being the least invasive and safe method for treating various diseases. Acupuncture needles are used to stimulate certain points for relieving a vast range of disorders from fever to febrile disease.

Got a Toothache?  Hegu (合谷穴) point:

Location:  On the dorsum of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, in the middle of the 2nd metacarpal bone on the radial side.

Uses:  Not only for a toothache but this point is also useful for treating a variety of  ailments. Amenorrhea, Gastric pain, Common cold, Diseases of head and face, Pain in arm, finger spasm and various other maladies.

The good thing about TCM is that it can help the body to defend itself against diseases by boosting the immune system, therefore, it has lesser side effects. No matter whatever treatment you choose either Acupuncture or massage or Moxibustion it has been found effective for even those illnesses which sometimes western medicine fails to comprehend….
